I did say that people are not on Facebook to be 'sold something', however I am passionate about what Health 2.0 can offer to pateints, the general public Pharma and healthcare services.

The thrust of my argument is that the objectives for engagement must be right, it is not about promotion but buiding trust through dialogue and information.

People do want information curated through community and many people will use social networks to help them manage a health condition. The key is to add value where we have credibility-this can no longer be pharma command and control.

To me the question is, can we offer genuine collaboration, communication, education and, dare I say it, entertainment.

Excellent post in all respects.
"Its not going away"....Indeed. Engage or perish.....?
We are being overrun by Web 2.0 whether we like it or not.
Look forward to seeing a comment from Mark Senak perhaps?
