While the use of widgets themselves is not mind-blowing, the concept that the FDA would consider their use is. I would hope that they have come to the realization that disseminating information to make it easy for industry and consumers to become educated is of importance. I think that this is an encouraging first step, hopefully it will continue in the right direction.

Angie: as it so happens Agorasys has a mobile phone application that tracks FDA recalls. The application is called RecallCheck. RecallCheck allows mobile phones with cameras to scan barcodes of food products and automatically determine if the item is subject to a recall. Product details can be seen at http://www.agorasys.com/products.html.

Best Wishes

I think I have been using one of these tools without knowing that they are called widgets!
It is certainly an easy way of providing specific pieces of information that a lot of FDA website users will find helpful.
